To destroy the coronavirus from the surfaces of objects and from the air, one of the most effective methods is open-type UV irradiation.

To kill single-stranded RNA viruses, such as coronaviruses, a radiation dose of 339-423 μW*s/cm² of ultraviolet light (99.9% room cleanliness) is required. Thus, the time for the UV lamp to kill the virus depends on its power, as well as the area of the surface to be treated, and usually ranges from 2 to 30 minutes.

At the same time, the World Health Organization (WHO) notes that the use of UV irradiation in the fight against coronavirus is most effective to use open-type irradiators. In open irradiation, both air and surfaces will be treated.
